As a student at Penn State, where he is affectionately known as Ryan Gustin Penn State, he is studying Civil Engineering with a focus that underscores his dedication and innovative spirit.

He began his educational journey in Webster, NY, at Plank Road North Elementary, where he first combined his interests in sports and technology. Here, his engagement with Lego robotics sparked a deep interest in engineering, setting the stage for his future pursuits.

He continued his education at McQuaid Jesuit High School in Rochester, embodying the school’s mission to be a "man for others." He led the school's robotics team and played a pivotal role in designing and building a climbing mechanism. This contribution helped his team win the "Excellence in Engineering" award and solidified his reputation as a leader and innovator.

He further honed his technical skills at high school by working with CNC mills, turning digital designs into real-world components. His proficiency with CAD software and materials like aluminum and steel enhanced his practical engineering skills, preparing him for the challenges of his chosen field.

Beyond his academic achievements, he actively participated in the school’s stage crew, helping to manage and execute theatrical productions. This experience bolstered his project management skills and complemented his technical training. He also engaged in sports and music, playing the violin, which enriched his educational knowledge and contributed to his personal growth.

His commitment to community service is evident through his volunteer work at the House of Mercy Homeless Shelter and the St. Joseph of Arimathea Pallbearer Ministry. Additionally, he dedicated over 170 hours to Maplewood Nursing Home, where he fostered meaningful connections and contributed positively to the lives of the residents.

Professionally, he gained invaluable experience at Oak Hill Country Club and Hedges Nine Mile Point Restaurant, enhancing his customer service and operational management skills during significant events like the 2023 PGA Championship.

At Penn State, his involvement with the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Penn State Formula Racing team has allowed him to apply his academic knowledge to real-world engineering challenges. His internship at DDS Companies in 2023 provided him with practical experience in infrastructure projects, further developing his professional capabilities.
